0110: NothingSomethingSomethingNothing

The way we represent something is by drawing a circle around it.
Even by drawing a 0, a circle creates something instead of nothing,
and the idea of continuity becomes wrapped in a 0 as a line forming
the boundary between nothing and something.

Throughout this piece, what is something, what is nothing, and
what can be considered 'real' is contained within the scope of
sequenced images that loop together on the verge of digital
simulations and organic phenomena. Footage of the moon through
a telescope diminishes into a candle burning out while a star explodes
into a swirl of cellular automata. Then as cells begin to form and grow,
synapses begin to fire, arteries appear, and an old VHS tape glitches
out into interstellar cloud of dust that fade into the lights reflected
in my morning cup of coffee.
